About Me

Hello! I am Beth, your blogger and, one day, only friend. I’ve crawled out of the dungeon they call UNIVERSITY to talk about gaming journalism and just what’s goin’ down with it.

I’ve been a fan of gaming since deleting my brother’s Pokémon Red save when I was a toddler (I know, yikes). Gaming partially fueled my passion for media studies after spending an ungodly amount of hours watching gameplay on YouTube. And I, like many other Gen Z’ers, was deadset that I would become a famous YouTuber at the grand age of 12. You may have already guessed but that didn’t happen.

Besides gaming, I’m also a freelance editor, fiction writer, hobbyist artist, and all-around someone who has far too many unfinished projects that I’ll get around to eventually, I swear.

DUNGEON SCRAWLR is an educational blog that doesn’t confuse you with industry jargon or abstract concepts, it’s down to earth, easy to understand, and – I’d like to think – enjoyable to read.  I know the importance of being able to switch off and just enjoy a game, or in this case, a blog. Academic writing can be a bore and I’m of the belief that understanding something means you can explain it simply, so I’ll be keeping the fancy talk to a minimum.

So let me do all the dungeon scrawling, and you can sit back and relax!
