There is always the question of how cost effective digital marketing actually is, as most think it can be more costly than traditional methods now in the digital age, but this is not always the case. It has been found that digital marketing is one of the best strategies now as it attracts more online attention and can be shared more easily, as proven by statistics on site such as Smart Insights. Yet, focusing on the main point, it has also been found to be very cost effective with the lengths it goes to while promoting your content. This will be discussed today in 4 main ways that digital marketing is good for your budget.

Distribution of your marketing and how much it appears in your audience’s daily lives is a common benefit of marketing online. Thorough repeating and retargeting content, it gets more attention. When a user online visits your site or platform, they will therefore get more pop ups and information about it while on other sites through targeted traffic, as it shows the website engine that if they have visited your site, they are more likely to engage with your content or buy from you if they see it appear more. This shows its cost effectivity as it promotes your product more than you pay for, in example of just paying for a website, people see your content more and can share it to others or interact with it further, therefore even more people than you expect see your content with you still keeping to your allocated budget, which is not very likely with traditional methods such as television adverts or billboards as they are not so widely sharable.

Another money saving strategy in digital marketing would be pay per click, it creates greater brand awareness and more connection to the specific audience you are targeting. Since most pay per click advertisements are small and people do not relatively spend a long time paying attention to them, to get the most out of them consider the language and use of images, make them just right so it attracts the right people and lets you maximise your creative space. They are not very pricey, but every click counts so create the ads wisely.

Additionally, as discussed in my pervious post, using social media as a way of digital advertising can also be cost friendly to your budget as it does not cost anything to set profiles up. Using these social platfroms, it shows your brand in a more developed light and allows you to create content relevant to what you are trying to market or sell, with no extra cost. You can gain valuable analytics and see what current customers and competition are interested in or what they are doing with their online presence. One main disadvantage to using this method would be the use of your time. For some that can be an issue, as social media requires constant engagement and upkeeping, but as for me that is the only issue I see with it, if that does not concern you then social media is a must in your digital marketing budget.

To finish off, one thing that has been very popular and most people ignore due to the idea of spam, would be email marketing. If you have some sort of subscriber count or attention to your content online then this would be a good idea to consider as you can communicate to your audience things such as new offers, posts, ideas, information or anything that would be of value to them. It gets to them quickly and directly without costing you too much and is more specific to the target audience you have chosen.

An addition I have found to this blog post would be the following YouTube video, it goes over my points with some more additions to why digital marketing is useful in general. It also points out some useful facts if you are thinking of digitally marketing yourself, such as statistics and various infographics.

I hope you have enjoyed this post on how digital marketing is good for your budget, looking at various methods that can be helpful to you and your content distribution. As always, let me know of your thoughts and suggestions and follow my social media profiles for regular updates and content.
