Why online shopping is better than in-store shopping

We all know that one person. The person that just can’t accept the fact that people shop online, even in the 21st century, or assumes the worst every time an order is placed. There will always be sceptics. Take my grandparents for example, they are always telling me that e-commerce is going to destroy the economy, but is it all really that bad? This blog is written purposely for those who are afraid of shopping online.

Saves your precious time.
For you impulsive buyers, the only resource that can rival your money is time, unless you’re a student. Sometimes, 24 hours in a day never seems enough to complete the several tasks lined up for you to do in one day. Online shopping is a life-saving, time-saving system as you don’t need to drive to the shop to purchase what you want, you can simply log into the website of a retail store from your laptop or mobile and start shopping.

Also, no matter how British you are, not all of us enjoy waiting in long queues. Online shopping saves time helps to dodge this and get our shopping done easily.

Avoiding the temptation of unnecessary purchases
How many times have you visited a shop to get a specific item but instead you leave the store with bags and bags full of things you don’t need? Did you know that online shopping helps to avoid this to some extent? With online shopping, it’s easier to stick to a list and your budget.

Being able to shop in a convenient way
Convenience is the biggest perk. Where else can you comfortably shop at midnight while in your pyjamas and drinking a glass of wine, or two? Online shopping is stress-free! All you need to do is sit in your home and shop to get your good delivered to your doorstep with no fuss.

Shopping in bulk
Online shopping allows you to buy bulky items and items in bulk without wondering how you will be able to carry them home. As rude as it sounds, this is what the delivery drivers are for.

Saves you a parking ticket cost
The advantages of online shopping can be something so small such as not having to worry about paying for parking, where to park or how long you can park for.

Better prices
One of the main reasons which makes online shopping so attractive is that it gives discounts and bigger sales compared to in-store shopping. Especially for students who are living on a budget but still wanting to buy things that they don’t need, myself included. Online shopping is your best friend that you never knew you had.

On the previous blog post, I talk about how web extensions such as Honey allows you to save money instantly with the discount and coupon codes is has available for you. Saving money, what more could you want?

Comparison of products
As much as we feel like we do everything at once, especially students, online shopping takes the edge off by reviewing and comparing dozens of products all at once. Rather than having to travel from store to store or aisle to aisle, online shopping allows you to simply navigate from one web page to the next without any hassle.

Buy things without anybody knowing
Online shopping means you don’t have to be afraid of your neighbours laughing at your my little pony bag that you bought on Amazon. Most likely your purchases will be delivered in a brown box, leaving your curtain twitcher of a neighbour disappointed.

More of a variety
We’ve all been there, you’ve been to a shop to get a specific item but they don’t have it in your size. Absolutely gutting. But online shopping has a far greater selection of sizes as stock is much more plentiful. Some online stores even accept orders for out of stock items and process the order when they ship the items in. you can find almost anything that you are looking for.
