Cooking up a Quorn

Hi Plant Powered Friends.

This week as teased, I have created a video for you. This is based on all things foody as I take you round Waitrose, and make a pizza from (almost) scratch!

Before making any particularly radical changes to your diet, I would advise speaking to a health professional as everybody is different, and you want to do it healthily. Highstreet shops like Holland and Barret have trained staff that can advise you to getting the correct nutrition – I have Vegan supplements bought from there which include all vitamins and multi-vitamins needed, although I do not need to take this everyday as there are some simple ways to make sure you are getting what you need in your diet.

You can replace dairy products with plant milks, scrambled eggs with scrambled tofu, honey with plant-based sweeteners like molasses or maple syrup, and raw eggs with flax or chia seeds.

In addition, adding whole grains, as well as a wide array of fruits and vegetables to your diet is key.

Proteins can be found in products such as; Beans, Lentils, Tofu, Seitan, Quorn, Tempeh, nuts and seeds. Also – most veg has plenty of naturally occurring proteins in.

I hope this inspires you all to have some fun making a plant-based pizza and be inspired to how easy it can be to buy substitutes and enjoy vegan food!

Please watch my video here.

Thanks in advance for watching!
