Self-Care Sunday #BACOM

My blog and other social media platforms will positively impact you by reminding you NEVER TO FORGET ABOUT YOUR OWN SELF CARE.

Self-care is one of the most important things in your day to day lives. Never forget to take time off to remember to recharge and unwind from social media for about an hour or more if you would like (really, however long you’d need to relax). I’ve got you with all the tips and tricks!

Journal Update

If you haven’t got one already, be sure to grab a journal for yourself. The perfect thing about having a journal is you can write about ANYTHING. This journal does not only have to only include your fitness but could be about anything in your life. Some of my favourite things to write about are about how my week has gone, notes of my goals for the next week, things I’ve learnt in the past week and I never forget to note the things you are grateful for. Let me know some of the things you would write about in your journal.

Enjoy Herbal Tea

Why not brew yourself a cup of herbal tea? There are various herbal teas out there which have different benefits. Self-care Sunday is all about being calm and relaxed which is why one of my highly recommended tea options is Chamomile tea. Get yourself cosy, grab a book or put on one of your favourite movies and enjoy every moment of relaxation with a cup of herbal tea (I’ve done this one too many times with my favourite movie ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’). You can’t go wrong with this!

There are various benefits to Chamomile tea; it boosts your immunity, promotes sleep, reduces acne and reduces stress amongst many more health factors. Mix you Chamomile tea with a half a squeezed lemon and enjoy for a little bit of a tangy taste. I like a bit of a sweet taste too so I add a teaspoon (OR LESS) of raw honey.

I have more benefitial herbal tea options available to try over a few of your self-care Sundays (or any other day):

  • Ginger Tea– disease fighting herbal tea
  • Enjoy with a teaspoon of raw honey

  • Hibiscus Tea– shows a positive on high blood pressure
  • brew for 3 to 5 minutes and enjoy hot or iced cold

  • Sage Tea– beneficial for cognitive function

Put on a Face Mask

You can’t have a complete self-care Sunday without enjoying a face mask. Enjoy a purifying face mask after your usual face wash routine, sit back, relax and let the mask do its job. I like to try some DIY a face masks. You should too if you’re feeling experimental!

I’ve put together a few DIY face masks for all skin types, to help spice up your self-care Sunday, enjoy!

AND don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with a list of extra tips and tricks to try for your self-care Sunday.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these tips! Make the most of your self-care Sunday!

stay fit & stay health

xoxo
